home sweet home...

Hello neglected blog, long time no see... Jonathan and I have been in moving mode for far too long now. The good news is that we are almost settled in! Yay! All that's left is a trip or two to goodwill and some pictures to hang! Our new place is starting to feel like home, and I really like it. I was definitely apprehensive to leave our little yellow house for apartment life, but it is treating us well so far. Our place gets lots of light, we are close to everything, and apparently I live next door to one of my co-workers, haha. I am a little distracted at the moment watching Jennifer Anniston on Rachel Ray, so I will let the pictures do the talking for me. Enjoy!

(side note, i made that "hello" banner and will be making similar ones for my online shop)

This is our temporary clothes storage solution. kinda ghetto, but better than the floor.

trouser hangers are a great way to hang art. so easy to change out pieces.

the alphabet poster will be hung on the wall eventually...

Please excuse the mess in the corner. It is our bar in the making. Right now it is being used as a place to put all things we don't know what to do with...

new chair from Urban Outfitters, I love it!

Kitty tipi! And our new black and white rug from Ikea which I also love!

Our cute but tiny kitchen. The refrigerator had become Sawyers new favorite hideout.

My valentines day daisies and my succulent from Mrs. Rhoads, which seems to be bouncing back from my overwatering by the way :)

And there you have it! Obviously still a work in progress, but I am pleased with how things are going. I'm ready for it to be done so we can start having people over. I also need to study up on some cocktails...

  1. Meghan, you just drive me crazy with your creativity. Man, wish I could just pull things together like this! Your place looks wonderful. I absolutely love the trouser hanger idea. If you don't mind I am going to copy that. How lovely!

I am excited to see one of your banners too :)

  2. I love the rug, your bedding, the shower curtain, everything. Ugh, so cute.

  3. I love your shower curtain! Where did you find it?

  4. Stephanie, the shower curtain is from Urban Outfitters, and I love it!
