red lips...

i love a good red lip. i have never been one to wear lipstick, but maybe i should be. i kind of have a vision of myself on the big day, and sometimes i am wearing red lipstick. if i do go with the red lipstick, i hope i look as cute as this girl...
see how cute the red and the yellow are? i love it. i am using red and yellow in our save the dates, and invitations, and wedding decor. the only problem is that if i stare at those colors too long, all i can think of is mcdonald's or shiner bock, and that's not exactly what we are going for. that's why i had to add the minty blue color to balance it out. let's hope that it works...

ok, now back to the grammys. bisous!

adorable wedding ideas...

as usual i have been scanning any and all wedding websites for the ultimate wedding inspiration. a couple of days ago i came across this, and seriously almost started crying:

how great is that?!? i love the idea of a video save the date, its cheaper and more environmentally friendly than paper ones. too bad we don't own a video camera...

and then today i found this adorable wedding in London. my absolute favorite part of that wedding is the bridesmaids outfits:

i think its the sequins and the tights that does it for me. for awhile i really REALLY wanted to wear tights with my wedding dress, but i think they might be a bit hot for an almost July wedding. and i would feel bad making my bridesmaids suffer. :)

ok, thats all for now. the save the dates are STILL on the to-do list. blah.

bisous!

more loverly finds...

i can't seem to tear myself away from the computer lately. i just keep finding new and wonderful things that lead me to more new and wonderful things. someone stop me! here is my absolute favorite thing that i came across today, i give you tom palumbo's beautiful images of Parisians in 1962:

don't you wish you were there?! sometimes i feel like i should have lived in the 1960's, but then i remember the whole oppression of females thing and i am grateful to be right where i am :).
all of these images are from tom palumbo's flickr. there are TONS of beautiful photographs there. check it out!

and then just a couple of minutes ago i came across this picture, and it makes me want a gigantic bouquet of hydrangeas for the wedding! l-o-v-e...

ok, time to get serious. no more aimless internet searching before i get those darn save the dates done! jonathan and i spent a large chunk of last weekend at kinko's trying to finish them, and i am just not happy. i might be back to square 1... ugh. i mean, how can i not aim higher after seeing these today? too bad i don't have the resources or the patience for something like that...

alright all, have a fantastic weekend! bisous!

loverly inspiration...

first off is this lovely image from kate spade. i think these are the colors we are going for in our wedding. lots of yellow and mint with pops of red. this picture makes me happy...

second of all is this ah-mazingly retro wedding. the dress, the suit, the hair, the venue, the pictures, everything about this is so perfect. pictures are by feather love photography, and you can see more pictures of zola and derick's wedding here.

and if you liked that, you should look at their engagement shoot, also by feather love here.

home for the holidays...

i'm back from a week long, and much needed break! jonathan and i got to spend the first week of 2010 with our families, and it was the best way i can imagine to start the new year. we were supposed to be busy with wedding stuff, but somehow we didn't really get much accomplished in oklahoma. hmmm... the save the dates are still not completed, and we still haven't confirmed a guest list, but we've got six months... plenty of time. right? we did, however, pick out a tux for jonathan and his groomsmen. so thats something.

christmas was great, although it didn't really feel like christmas. jonathan had to work at the hospital, and i spent the day napping, reading, and knitting. but we did get to open presents after jonathan got off work. jonathan got me this awesome camera, and i am totally obsessed with it! here are a few shots i took back in oklaHOMEa:

and meet our (well, my parent's) new puppy, Penny!

she is adorable, and she is going to be a giant. my mom wants her to be the ring bearer at the wedding. jury is still out on that one...

ok, well this weekend will officially be the finish-the-save-the-dates weekend. i'll be sure to post the final product. although, after seeing these guys i am re-thinking the whole design...
you can see some more pictures of them on promise tangeman's blog. she is a fabulous designer, and her blog is a great source of inspiration.

ok, that's all for now. we'll talk soon! bisous!
